This six-episode podcast series, hosted by Associate Professor Dr Paula Toko King and Gabrielle Baker, shares the TIAKI rangahau and along the way talks to members of the TIAKI Rōpū Rangahau and other national and international experts on health research, the harms of prisons and creative ways of sharing rangahau.
Throughout the series we take a deeper dive into our quantitative data findings and our qualitative interviews with individuals and whānau with lived experience of prisons. We also share the ways we used creative arts to share TIAKI findings with our communities, including through Theatre Marae and toi kupu or poetry.
The series ends by asking what should be different, and recommendations for Government, as we imagine an Aotearoa without the harms of prisons.
Each episode of the podcast comes with a companion booklet or zine for you to download. Each zine takes a different approach – ranging from detailed booklets, to poems, to art zines.
